PmWiki
PmWiki is a wiki-based system for collaborative creation and maintenance of websites. PmWiki pages look and act like normal web pages, except they have an "Edit" link that makes it easy to modify existing pages and add new pages into the website, using basic editing rules. You do not need to know or use any HTML or CSS. Page editing can be left open to the public or restricted to small groups of authors.
DokuWiki and PmWiki are both open-source wiki platforms that enable user collaboration and content creation via user-friendly editing interface. Both use plain text files for storage (which enhances portability) and support various plugins for extended functionality.

But DokuWiki (released in 2004) is German software, primarily designed for documentation, making it suitable for software projects and internal wikis. It offers fine-grained access control via namespaces.

PmWiki (2004) is more flexible software that can be used for a variety of cases, including personal, project, or group wikis. It allows advanced interface customization through themes and templates and provides built-in mechanisms for handling edit conflicts, enhancing collaboration in real-time.
