FaceTime is a video calling software application and related protocol developed by Apple for supported mobile devices running the iOS, in addition to Macintosh computers running Mac OS X 10.6.6 and higher. FaceTime is supported on any iOS device with a forward-facing camera.

FaceTime and Google Meet are both video calling services (that also support real-time chat, audio calls, screen sharing during meetings). Both can be used on multiple devices (smartphones, tablets, computers) and provide modern features like virtual backgrounds or effects.
But Apple's FaceTime (available since 2010) works only on Apple's devices (iOS and macOS) and doesn't provide web version. Though, it's video quality is really higher thanks to hardware optimization.
Google Meet (2017) is primarily a web-based service designed for a broad range of users, including businesses and educational institutions. It integrates with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) and other Google services as well as with video conferencing hardware and other video conferencing systems like Poly.
