KeePass is a free open source password manager, which helps you to manage your passwords in a secure way. You can put all your passwords in one database, which is locked with one master key or a key file. So you only have to remember one single master password or select the key file to unlock the whole database. The databases are encrypted using the best and most secure encryption algorithms currently known (AES and Twofish). For more information, see the features page.
KeePass and iCloud Keychain are both apps that allow to store and manage passwords securely and autofill passwords in browsers and apps. Both are free to use and support multi-factor authentication.
But KeePass (available since 2003) is a German open-source software Windows, macOS, Linux. Mobile apps are available, but only third-party. Password databases are stored locally by default, not in the cloud. It's designed for advanced users who prefer more control and customization via installing plugins.
iCloud Keychain (available since 2013 as part of iOS) is Apple's app that works across iOS and macOS devices. Passwords are stored securely in Apple's iCloud, syncing across all Apple devices. iCloud Keychain manages not just passwords, but also credit card information and Wi-Fi credentials.
